Do you organise tours or trips to swim with dolphins?

We DO NOT run trips or organise swims with the dolphins. All of us involved in Irishdolphins.com swim with the dolphins mentioned whenever we have chance but do so for fun, not as a business. The dolphins are accessible without the need for organised trips. In Dingle there are boat trips readily available - see the Fungie pages. See the individual dolphin pages for info on where to go etc.

How can I add my pictures to the Irishdolphins.com website?

If you have good quality pictures of any of the interactive Irish dolphins, we'd be happy to display them on the website. Please save them as jpgs between 50kB and 100kB file size each (typically around 500 - 700 pixels wide)before mailing them to Keith at keith@irishdolphins.com. Don't forget to include the date, the location and the name of the photographer so we can credit your copyright.

Will the dolphins heal my ME/ MS/ chronic depression / etc?

Lots of sick people came out to be healed by the Dingle dolphin in the early 1990’s. We are not aware of a single person who was actually cured of anything as a result of meeting the dolphin. However, swimming is good for you, seeing a dolphin is exciting and having a good time can surely only help you get better from an illness. As part of a therapeutic programme, why not include swimming with a dolphin, so long as you can leave any expectations behind you. The dolphins do have an uncanny ability to make most people feel as though they have had a unique and personal encounter. But if you are not 100% fit, don’t underestimate the practical difficulties of swimming in the Atlantic Ocean.

N.B. We do not recommend swimming with dolphins as a substitute for professional therapy.

How do I go about swimming with Dusty in Fanore, Co. Clare?

We have prepared a detailed section on location and visiting information on Dusty so please see Dusty: Location / Visiting for more information.

N.B. We neither encourage you to go swimming with wild dolphins nor do we advise you against it. Each situation is different and is a matter of personal choice.
