Early in the morning, Dingle harbour is often as calm as a millpond. 'Paudo' O'Connor is a local schoolteacher who loves the dolphin and who often goes out to see him purely for pleasure. Fungie continued to come and play with Paudo's canoe paddle dangled over the side of his boat long after he got bored with other people trying this game.
