It took Fungie a while before he showed up today, we were splashing about trying to keep warm, and had nearly given up hope when we spotted him charging in from outside. My sore foot prevented me from really getting into the swim as I could only wear one fin – not great when you want to blast about at top speed. Nick and Jen were in flying form and were straight out to him. Jen had a great time, with the dolphin spinning around her, and lunging up at her out of the water, he was getting really close to her, so much so that she was reaching out and rubbing him. Both Jen and I sat watching in awe as Fungie leapt over Nick, absolutely superb jumps. Some of his jumps were incredibly high, some over Nick and others at him, he even brushed off Nicks arm as he landed. We looked on marvelling as Fungie would change his body’s position in mid air for a pinpoint landing. I had to hang about the shallows and watch, but good old Fungie came in to see what I was at, and we had a good spin together. Sometimes its great to just be out there and watch.
