Many sightings of Dony from 2003 through 2006 were in the company of another sociable dolphin known as Jean-Floc'h. Some of these are indicated with *JF*. Many sightings from 2006 through 2008 were in the company of the resident pod of dolphins in the Ile du Sein /Camaret area, some now marked with *rp*.

22nd October 2001 - March 2002: Cherbourg-Channel Islands area off the north Normandy coast. Most encounters took place in Cherbourg itself but the dolphin also visited Alderney and Jersey and spent extended periods around Guernsey.

August - September 2001:
From the 29th July to 11th September 2001 a dolphin answering to the same description was observed in the L?Ile de Yeu area near La Rochelle on the French Atlantic coast, where he interacted with boats and bathers. Known as 'Baladin', 'Moana'. Source GECC Cherbourg.
May-June 2001:
From 5th May through June 2001 to at least 6th July the dolphin was present most days around the Great Blasket Island at the end of the Dingle peninsula, West Kerry, Ireland, either at the island moorings or at Dunquin pier on the mainland, or following the ferry boats between those two places. Numerous local residents swam with the dolphin at both locations.
On a number of days when bad weather forced the cancellation of the Blasket Island ferries, Dony was seen in nearby Dingle and Smerwick harbours.

April 2001: Dony first arrived in Baile na nGall, West Kerry, having followed *Padraig O?Sullivan*?s fishing boat from Carrigaholt, Co.Clare. Several sightings in Smerwick harbour. Dolphin swam alongside small boats and allowed himself to be stroked (*Jon Sanders*).
