Wednesday 9th January

Fungie has the swim condensed down to a one minute workout now. All the usual elements are there, they are just in the singular form. He came over straight away with a sense of purpose and an almighty leap over me. Then into a zigzag move drawing me along on the board with the suction he was creating by the swishing of his body. An arching dive transformed itself into a touching rear up then and that was me done. Louise was next for a quick spin and that was the party over. It was a similar story to yesterday and the day previous, essentially good Fungie concentrate. But you can’t help your feelings be tempered by the bigger picture of his behavioural change. He was off the reef then fishing, fishing, fishing; only 50 metres away but on another wavelength. We leave him be.
