Another cold day today, but the water was clear and calm. Today Meg and I were joined by Nick and Jenny 1 this time. Jen and I got in ahead of Nick, and Fungie came blasting over. Straight to me then over to Jen who started spinning around in circles (a classic Jenny 1 move) with Fungie going round her. I was a little on edge in the water today, no reason I can think of, Fungie’s erratic behaviour didn’t help to put me at my ease. Although I do feel that he was aware of how I was feeling as he focused most of his attention on my fellow swimmers. As Nick was getting in off the beach, Fungie was waiting for him in the shallows, eagerly waiting for Nick to get swimming. Then it was all action. Jumps, with Nick and Jen, sticking his out of the water in a spy hopping type move right beside Nick. At one stage he came full speed at Jen, he was like a missile shooting through the water. He did calm down, thankfully from my point of view. He got quite mellow with us all and because the water was so clear you could see him just cruising around underneath us. It’s beautiful to see him at his ease like that.
